Sea battles, spirit masks, centaurs. An art zine, inspired by the SEA.
Ships. Masks. Shamans. Markets. Spirits.
Welcome to the Thousand Thousand Islands — a porous, patchwork reality inspired by Southeast Asia.

Drawings Part Two is an art zine. 44 pages of detailed black-and-white illustrations. Character studies of masked dancers and orangutan-men, action shots of ships at sea, tableaux of daily life.
Accompanied by texts and sketches detailing the use and context of three facets of pre-modern Southeast-Asian life: the finger knife; the fire piston; and the practice of betel-chewing.
This zine is the result of the artist’s continued research into the material cultures, lived realities, and mythistories of Southeast Asia. An appendix to A Thousand Thousand Islands.
