Pearls of power in your biceps, spells of speed for your calves. Did you pierce your throat with steel reeds, so you would sound better?
This is the third in a series of four player-character classes for use with 5E rules. (Other characters are the Demon’s Ex, Quick Jackfruit, and Wise Serpent.) The Charm Addict is a body-mod enthusiast — obsessed with self-improvement via magic charms inserted into their skin.

Zedeck’s Design Notes:
The Charm Addict is inspired by real-world body magic, common throughout SEAsia. Penis bells, studs, and pins: fang muk, palang, sacra, all the rest of it. The practice of susuk. I grew up with stories of film actresses, rumoured to have golden needles in their checks, mystically enhancing their beauty; footballers with metal plates in their shins, to augment their skill.
The note Mun Kao had attached to his character illustration said: “medieval cyborg guy”. Mechanically the Charm Addict occupies a Magic-User-y niche. But thematically they are our take on cyberpunk’s over-augmented-street-samurai trope —
Except augments don’t eat your soul or dehumanise you? All sorts of things have souls: snakes, trees, needles. And changing one’s nature is only natural.
People tut at the Charm Addict not because they are an abomination — but because they an irresponsible obsessive with no self-control. A lothario who keeps taking on new lovers, satisfying none. A dysfunctional polycule in a single body.
